Location

Kanine Kwest is renting a space at another dog training facility: Heavenly Dog Obedience. Classes and private lessons will be held at their location 7608 E Indiana Ave, Spokane Valley, WA

This is not the mailing address for either business.  You can sign up for Heavenly’s obedience classes at: https://www.heavenlydogs.com/index.html

Age

Puppies are not developed enough to be able to do many of the conditioning exercises that adult dog can do becuase thier growth plates have not closed. Therefore, there is an age limit for some classes that have more advanced exercises and will be posted in each class description. Young dogs are allowed in the foundation class.

A puppy conditioning enrichment class may be offered if there is enough interest. Please email to get on a wait list.

The senior fitness class does not have an age limit since some dogs age fast than other due to activity, injuries, breed etc. Please contact us if you have any questions about which class is best for your dog: kaninekwest@gmail.com

Equipment

In class we will utilize platforms and other fitness equipment for some of the exercises. You are not required to purchase any equipment for class. The instructor will help you be creative with household items to achieve your canine fitness needs, or she can help you in your choice to purchase something appropriate for your dog.

Prerequisites

Dog should be able to preform sit, down, stand, and stay in each of these positions. Most exercises are performed on leash. Dogs should be able to work around other dogs if enrolled in class. A basic manners class can help you prepare your dog for conditioning classes.

The foundation class will review some of the prerequisites, and add some extra challenge if needed.

Other Classes

At this time Canine Fitness classes are the only type of training offered.

Injuries

Conditioning classes are healthy dogs without pain or injury and is NOT a substitution for canine rehabilitation. If your dog is injured, recovering, or in pain, they should see their regular veterinarian or a certified canine rehabilitation specialist. Dogs with previous injuries may need to get a veterinary release.

Vaccines

Proof of vaccinations will be required before the first day of class.
